Rick and Mike Lemcke founded R.M. Landscape in 1973 while attending college, installing lawns during the summer using a borrowed tractor from their father and a neighbor’s rake. What began as a small seasonal operation quickly earned a reputation for dependable service, hard work, and quality craftsmanship—values that continue to define the company today.
As demand continued to grow, R.M. Landscape purchased its headquarters on Peck Road in Hilton, New York. The property also became home to a wholesale nursery operation, providing the space and resources needed to support the company’s continued expansion throughout Western New York.
During the 1980s, R.M. Landscape shifted its focus toward commercial landscaping, building long-term relationships with businesses, municipalities, healthcare facilities, and other commercial property owners. As the company continued to grow, R.M. Landscape expanded beyond landscape installation into comprehensive commercial property services.
